Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calibrate the online ruler to show actual size?

To calibrate the ruler, input your device's physical screen diagonal size (in inches) in the settings. You can find your screen size in your device specifications. Alternatively, you can adjust the calibration scale manually using a standard credit card or physical coin.

Does this online ruler support mobile screens?

Yes. Our responsive design adjusts the ruler scale to match the pixel density of mobile screens once the correct diagonal size is input.

Why does the ruler look different on different monitors?

Monitors have different physical screen sizes and pixel resolutions (PPI). Without calibration, a ruler showing a fixed number of pixels would be too large or too small. Entering your screen diagonal calibrates the pixels to show actual physical measurements.
